"The best things in life aren't things."
- Mike Ness
How I Started
My introduction to music was when my father and mother introduced me to bands such as KISS, AC/DC, Metallica, Danzig, Poison, Bon Jovi, and many more. My desire for wanting to play rock and roll music was when in the mid 2000’s, I've discovered bands like Green Day, Foo Fighters and Sum 41 that have driven me to be a musician. Originally I wanted to play the guitar, however with the encouragement and persuasion from my older brother (who played guitar during the time) got me to play the bass. I received my first bass guitar as a Christmas present when I was 11 years old. Along with an instructional book and DVD to teach myself how to play the bass guitar. I have always been a self-taught musician. After watching live videos and music videos of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and hearing/watching their bassist Flea's bass playing, that has motivated me to want to take my bass playing into developing further as a musician.
Going into my teen years, I developed an interest in playing punk rock music. After listening to bands such as; Ramones, The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Adicts, Social Distortion (my favorite band), Rise Against, Rancid, NOFX, Lagwagon, The Bouncing Souls, Dropkick Murphys, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Bad Religion, MxPx and many more... I have dug deeper into being a bassist, and occasional songwriter.

MY LIVE CAREER
My start into professionally playing shows began in 2018-2019 when I joined a ska punk band called The Crashing Trolleys (disbanded). We only played one show though. Afterwards, I played a handful of shows in a punk rock band called Nashville’s Burning from 2020 to 2022 during the pandemic. I left Nashville’s Burning to fully invest my time into Hollow Wake.
I joined Hollow Wake at the beginning of 2022. Playing in Hollow Wake has gotten me to expand my mindset into other genres that improved my bass playing. As well as building my confidence when playing live. Along with the singles and albums we have released so far. Each song we have released shows my skills and techniques I use in the song(s).
